Where are Good Places to Find New Business Clients Outside of Networking Events?

Networking is not just about going to events – you can build your network almost anywhere!

Think about joining a hobby group or help out with local charity events in your area where you will meet new people that may turn into prospects. Join an association or volunteer for a cause you care deeply about. Ask your friends to introduce you to those in their network that would benefit from what your business offers.

You could even meet potential clients at a reunion, birthday party or other kind of milestone event! When doing so, you’re coming together in an authentic way and bond over something that doesn’t necessarily start out as strictly professional. This helps you build a foundation for relationships that foster trust and meaning … with no other intent that just being a good person.

Of course, connecting with people over social media is a great way to find business clients. Taking part in online groups on LinkedIn opens you up to opportunities. But keep in mind it’s always about the value you and your connections can offer to each other! You can read more about this in my article What’s Your Intrinsic Value? Here’s How to Find It (and Use to Your Advantage) which I’m sure you’ll find insightful.
